PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGICAL STRESS PROFILE SUITE
Our Stress Profile has all four key elements:
1. OBJECTIVE SIGNAL REACTIVITY:
Basically a polygraph record of pre-task, task, and recovery reactivity.
2. SUBJECTIVE REPORT [subjective Units of Sidtress Scale]:
Self-Report Stress Ranking.
3. A Library of Stress Tasks:
Eleven different Profiles are provided, or make your own..
4. Standardized Spoken or Video Instruction:
Each task component provides a clear audio instruction. All you have to do is check sensors, answer questions and collect data.
WHAT KIND OF TASKS ARE USED? 'Relaxation is included as a 'task'. This provides a baseline. The 'standard' profile allows you to select from 8 common stressors: cognitive, spelling, math stressors, social stressor, timed performance and the Stroop color-word interference test. Hyperventilation is offered as an option, to mimic the physiological effects of running-in-place.
